Summer 2015 Collection: Bling Me Prism

the name of this series is named bling me prism, with the inclusion of the iconic lips and peace hand (of high cheeks) design into the packaging of the collection, giving them a very cheeky and fun vibe.

i don't know what's the right word to describe the feeling these funky images give me. it's almost as though i'm high on LSD and these colourful and almost totally unrelated images float around my head. spacey and psychedelic may be close to what i just described. i wouldn't be surprised if i see some cosmic kitty and glowing unicorn shooting lasers out of their eyes within some of the designs. (note: author is not high at the moment this entry was written)
this series is for the eyes, lips, nails, and skin. let's start with the eyes.
BLING ME PRISM LOOK AT MY EYES | 3500 won
the eyeshadow is reformulated, it now has a jelly texture. the "prism" part of the collection name probably stemmed from the glitter and shimmer of the collection, as it contains luxury and visual pearl pigments (according to the official website). meant to be worn like an accessory, this eyeshadow series is 8 colours huge. since it's a summer collection, it's formulated to be long lasting and with good adherence to your skin.

the colours ranges from the wearable nudes and browns, with the addition of two really bright colours (GR705 milky sparkling and PK006 budapest). i guess you can't call this a summer collection without an injection of brighter colours!
OR213 suede tassle is an soft orangey brown and it looks gorgeous as a overall lid colour. i also like BR416 muscle mania, a pinkish bronze that is neutral enough to fit most skin tones. *time to update my DIY eyeshadow palette with new eyeshadow* the rest are just MEH.

as if the above eyeshadows aren't shimmery enough, they released 3 more highly shimmery shades in the look at my eyes jewel series.

the pearl and glitter in these eyeshadow will make your eyes glimmer like a jewel. the powder is moist and has a fluffy touch, i think you'll get lesser fall outs if you apply this with a finger.

a water based eyeshadow, it has a good staying power once it sets.

these may just make really good eyeshadow bases. #3 darling heart is a lovely pastel pink, and #4 perfect seems like the ultimate eyebase to help all other powder eyeshadow appear more pigmented and true to colour.

recently launched in march 2015, the colour in liquid lips is also part of the bling me prism collection. do expect the same intense colour and high shine.

i like how PK010 bling in pink beam and OR206 spangle in coral is looking on the model's lips, but i wonder if it really looks like that in reality.

the shades look almost holographic in the photos, if that's real it'd be amazing. personally loving #3 fake emerald because i have a penchant for anything turqoise/emerald/teal. it's barely noticeable on the nail, but the glitter in #5 prism kiss is actually in the shape of a red juicy lip!

if eyes and lips aren't enough for you, you can wear some good old temporary tattoos on your skin. some of them are actually nail stickers (i guess you can differentiate them by size?). i guess fans of the high cheeks brand would love these affordable options to garnish their wrist with tattoo bracelets! adorable!
i like that etude house collaborates with different brands and people to constantly push out new colours, even though i'm not necessarily going to buy them all, but i just purely enjoy admiring the stuff they create. i'm dreaming of the day i get to collaborate with them :) i guess it's every beauty fanatics' dream?
if i can only buy one item from this collection, it'd probably be the emerald nail polish because it's hard to find such a colour at this price elsewhere.
